Here it is, ladies and gents. It is more detailed up close; this is a thumbnail. Email me if you want the blown up one.
PS-Ignore anything else on this page. I haven't actually used it in 3 years.

Rumpelstiltskin is my name
This is a link to an animatic I made for another project; I drew it out by hand, scanned and edited it in Photoshop, put it to film in After Effects, set the whole thing to music, and created for myself a reference for a final go through. (Unfortunately the file is too large to try to post directly here on blogger-it was not for lack of trying.) It is in the file professional work.
The story is taken from the Brothers Grimm: Rumpelstiltskin. For a refresher, Rumpelstiltskin is the story of a miller's daughter who has to spin straw into gold in ever larger amounts to satisfy the king....and she is aided by an unseen magical gnome, seemingly benevolent until he tries to take away her firstborn child later in the tale. The scene I did was the one towards the end where the woodsman, at the queen's behest, goes off into the forest and finds Rumpelstiltskin, and finds out his name. Since I thought I could make the scene stand on its own, I added the twists of it taking place in a bayou or swamp and, well, wait for the ending to see what happens.
